Hi I take jazz choreography and we don't learn a lot of specific moves because it's only a summer class. Are there any moves that I could practice on my own that are easy? Thanks!|||Jazz is one of my favorite types. The simplest steps are: jazz square, step ball changes, waltz step, and the basic pivot turn. Look up jazz steps on google.|||Back when I was young (the mid sixties) we had three easy moves: the Flim-Flam-Folly, the Yonkers Scallywag, and the Square Apple-bottom. They were adapted from Swing and Charleston dance moves, and but I can't remember their names. Age does that to you, saddly. There was a book we used, I think it was called Reginald Bolvag's 'Jazz Made Easier' , although that's probably long out of print.|||The best way to dance jazz, or what I find to be the most efficient an easy, is to just turn on some music and dance, watch yourself in a mirror and make up some cool moves of your own! Even make up a whole dance routine if you want. But for specific moves, let's see... Grapevine, Jazz Square, google or youtube them, they're pretty easy :)|||Six step pirrawet - back side front back side prepare
