What jazz instrument is good to transfer to?
I've been playing flute for a long time now and I'm in concert band but I really want to give jazz band a try. I want to know a unique jazz instrument which is not that hard to switch to from flute.|||If you gave it a try, jazz flute can actually be an amazing addition to an ensemble. You just need to transpose trumpet music if there's no flute part. But if you're looking for something else, then I would agree with saxophone (alto or tenor).|||since you already play the flute, jazz flute should come easily to you.just a matter of playing a different genre/style of music.my mate who play the sax easily learnt the flute in a relatively short time(cant remeber how long) and i dont see why it wont work the other way around. so yea id say go either for jazz flute or alto/tenor sax|||Saxaphones, Are, Amazing! :)|||In our band we have a flute so maybe just ask and you might be able to get in on flute|||Alto saxophone is best for a flute player to switch to when playing jazz band.|||Saxophone!|||alto sax
