What's a good jazz dance song for 8 year-olds?

But with all the dirty language and other in appropriate topics in music, your choices are a lot more limited. Do not use anything that is too young, nothing from seasame street or other young children shows. for 8 year olds you might want to go preteen or higher in age as long as the subject in the song isn't too adult. You want innocence and cool at the same time. And most 8 year olds in dance will not even care what you choose, they don't always pay attention to the words. And if you have a really good piece of music that you want to use that the words are inappropriate, just get a version without words, there are special records made for dancing like this you just have to look it. Also some CD's are made for stereo and you can turn down the voices and only use the music.

A perfect example of pop music for children, in 1992, I used Shiny Happy People by REM. is was popular at the time and very innocent for children to use, not to mention a very clear beat. Just use this method and you will come up with a winner song.

Oh, and as much as I like Miley cyrus, Hannah Montanna may already be a little out dated, I wouldn't use that, unless I tested it out. use the CD's for warmups and training and see how the kids like it. Kids will tell you what they like and it only cost you a CD to add to your collection.

Also don't forget the old favorites, Broadway, any song from a Musical is a hit for a reason.|||walking on sunshine - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XGPvGzfoJ鈥?/a>
