Is there such thing as a jazz pieroutte?

I have jazz class tomorrow, and i don't want to make a fool of myself, because i do not know how to do a pieroutte! Please help! All videos and advice is appreciated!!! Thanks in advance and God bless!|||There are several variations to pirouettes, the biggest difference between "ballet" pirouettes and "jazz" pirouettes is that in a jazz turn you dont always have to be turned out, sometimes their inverted. the best thing to do, because there are SO many different techniques, is to get to class a little early and ask your teacher to help you. you can also you tube it. just do your best!

God Bless You!|||Yes, their is such a thing. Insted of putting you leg in pase to the side (like in ballet), you just put your leg in pase in the front. So, your one leg is straight, and your other leg is touching your knee in the front. The you just spot and turn, like in ballet. Hope this helps. Any other questions email me krobinson94@gmail.com, Happy Dancing!!!|||if you are doing a right side one then step out to the right side and then put your left foot forward and then do your pieroette

do it the opposite way for a left side one

hope i helped|||YES! jazz pirouettes are just like ballet pirouettes only your ray-to-ray leg is straight forward instead of being turned out .

heres a video that will show you what they look like%26gt;..

Tips on a jazz pieroutte: 1. Keep your head up high. No matter what don't let your eyes look down ( because when your eyes look down you go down also!)

2. Relax your sholders. You don't want your sholders lifted up during a pieroette.

3. Keep your arms in a nice round circle. (make sure your fingers are together)

4. Don't lean back

5. This is kind of weird but you need to squeeze your tooshie in while your turning. It helps a lot!

6. The leg your turning on, make sure its straight (not bent) and on your toes( never turn flat footed!)

7. Always point your foot! If you don't point your foot it ruins the turn even if your doing everything else right!

I hope this helps!

I've been doing dance for 3 years. I started when I was 9 and now I'm 12 sooo.....yeah.|||if you know how to do a ballet pirouette then, just do a jazz preparation and do a ballet pirouette with you leg turned in...|||al you have to do is its like a pieroutte turn in ballet except when you turn dont point ur toe out just put ur knee front and pull ur arms in
