Can you wear leg warmers with jazz shoes?

I'm a guy, I'm a jazz dancer and sometimes I have to wear my ballet tights to dance class and I'm freezing my butt off half the time. I recently made a pair of leg warmers but normally they are worn with pointe or ballet slippers under the heel, i don't want to do this because I may slip. Can the be worn around the ankle instead of under the heel?|||yea.i did a dance in leg warmers(i wore tennis shoes though) but yeah you can wear leg warmers with jazz shoes : )
